Best @mazdamx5cup weekend we have had yet! Started off the weekend with a top 10 qualifying for race 1, raced in the lead pack the entire race until getting caught up in someone else’s mess sadly ending our race. Sunday we rolled off 15th, luckily we missed a huge crash on the first lap. Allowing us into the top ten, after half of the race under caution we got back underway and fought our way to the best finish of the year coming home sixth! And the bad luck sadly continues to haunt us. After running inside the top 5 of race one we received a drive through penalty, which was later overturned. Practically ending our race one. Going into race 2 we had to start 15th, as having the drive through in race one took away a chance at a good lap. Race two ended as soon as it started after 3 cars in front of me came together leaving nowhere to go. Fun time at Roebling this past weekend. Ended up coming home with a second and the fastest lap of the race, which I’ll take any day after the transponder not working in qualifying. ough luck after being out of the gokart for awhile. Sad to say we never really had top 5 pace as we made an overnight switch to x30 getting one practice before qualy, however we ended up starting last both days. Saturday I got to the top 10 before having a flat tire, and Sunday to around 14th before my left rear came off. Unfortunate weekend to say at the least. After missing the tire gamble we qualified in the 20s, in race one after avoiding an early incident I was hit while stopped taking us out of the race. Happy with our results this weekend, had good pace going into race one, however we ended up loosing power steering after getting to the end of the lead pack. Going into race two we still had high hopes knowing the car was fast. And after countless cautions we were inside the top 8 until I was forced to take the escape route to avoid a wreck dropping me back to 13th. Race 1 was a very eventful one, after a rough qualifying we started 18th. And after a great first couple corners we were inside the top 13, however got sideways and dropped down to 29th. Knowing I had a fast car I just focused on moving forward and ended up coming home 14th. Race 2 was an unfortunate one as mid race contact after avoiding another car spinning took us out of the race. Amazing experience racing some of the top guys in spec miata this weekend for the Hoosier Super Tour opener at Sebring. Started off the weekend with fairly good pace. However, qualifying was my first time in the rain, and we still ended up p6 out of 91 cars. Into race 1 we struggled with pace and some driving mistakes early made me loose the lead packs draft. Sunday was a way better day as it was the feature event and we went from 20th to 4th! Had a blast this past weekend racing my first @sccaofficial major down in @homesteadmiami. Saturday we started the race p10 and with some rookie mistakes racing wise throughout I ended up p12, Sunday was a lot better as within the first lap I went from p10-p6 and was running right behind the first pack until I missed 3rd gear and lost the lead packs draft. What a weekend in Vegas we had, starting off with practice we were very fast in both classes until qualifying where everyone was racing back and fourth in ka and we lost all of our pace in x30. We qualified p48 in ka and p34 in x30, honestly I still wasn’t worried knowing I had the pace to come through and still had a chance in both. With some strong heats I started the final 17th in ka and made my way up to second at one point until everyone wanted to fight and let the leader get away in the end we still landed in p4 and I’m happy with the podium. X30 we didn’t have as much pace as we thought however we still managed to go from 25th to 9th so I would say it was a successful weekend!
