Rok the rio was an eventful one to say at the least, it started by qualifying off pole by .003 then winning the first heat however I was penalized back to 10th, starting 10th in 2nd heat I knew I had the pace and I sure did driving to the front and winning the heat once again but I was givin another penalty pushing me back to 10th again. On the upside we won the last 2 heats without any penalties! We ending starting the final fourth and quickly got to the point leading most of the laps until the last lap i blocked low and the other driver went for a gap that didn’t exist moving me however I still salvaged a second place finish. Fun weekend @sebringraceway with @copelandmotorsports for @drivenasa as we came home with the win on Saturday’s final and second on Sunday after some driving errors caused me to loose draft to the leader. Had a good weekend at isle casino for @rokcupusa winter tour round one. In VLR we swept the weekend getting pole in qualifying, winning both heats and the pre-final. And to end it winning the final by over 6 seconds. Gp was rougher than VLR as we qualified seventh, finished heat one in sixth and heat two in third the pre-final we were in an incident in turn 3 putting us back to fifteenth knowing we had decent pace I wasn’t to worried. Lady luck shines some weeks and not so much on others. This past weekend we didn’t get much luck at all starting off with qualifying 19th in x30 then changing the motor making me start every heat 28th, ka wasn’t so bad as we qualified 9th putting us in a shootout later that day which fast forward through that are needle in the carburetor stuck causing us to dnf. Saturday was looking okay as we got through all the heats and I was selected for the x30 shootout, started off the night winning the first heat however in the second heat of the shootout I made a driving mistake making me finish close to the rear whilst I had to inconsistent finish’s so did everyone else so I started on pole for the main. Got out to an early lead but just didn’t have the pace some others did, still managed a second place in the shootout bringing home $2500. Now let’s go to Sunday the main events in both classes were both solid as in x30 we started 24th and made are way up to 6th almost in the top 5, ka we weren’t so lucky as I just couldn’t hang with the top 5 and slowly drifted back in the top 10. We did it! Not only did we win our first Spec Miata race this weekend but we won back to back races, Saturday we qualified p2 .009 behind pole, it was a very close race the entire time and it ended with me winning by a very small margin in a photo finish. Sunday was only one race and it was the complete opposite of Saturday as I got to the lead early and the drivers behind started to battle allowing me to walk away by 6.5 seconds to bring home the second win of the weekend! Crazy weekend for the closing rounds of @unitedstatesprokarting as we came into the weekend leading the championship in ka, however on Saturday we got that chance taken away from us as we were in a incident making us finish 42nd. With knowing we weren’t in the championship on Sunday I just tried to finish which we did allowing us to finish 3rd in the championship. On the upside we swept the weekend in x30 for our class, and gave it our all for the overall win but just couldn’t get it done sadly. Happy with the pace we had in x30 so we will carry that on and have high hopes for supernats later this year! Had a blast this weekend with @copelandmotorsports running an scca event at Sebring. All weekend we had great pace, Saturday we qualified 11th overall and 6th in class (smt) do to my own driving mistakes and positioning for the draft. Sunday was race day, in race one I got a great jump at the start getting up to around 6th-7th within the first few corners, with the car being hooked up and my driving been good I was quickly moving through the field the highest I got to was 2nd overall however in the end it was a 3rd place finish overall and 2nd in class (smt). The second race on Sunday was a sad one as we lost the transmission right after the start. Another great learning experience this weekend @sebringraceway for @drivenasa coming home with two thirds on Saturday after having strong pace but made to many driving mistakes to fight for the win. On Sunday we also had two races the first one we came home with a third but for the last race of the weekend they inverted the field, now I was starting 11th, however by the time we got to turn 8 I was leading and pulling away with 3 laps in I had a straightaway on second and sadly my knee hit the key and with my little car experience I was trying to figure it but it took me a great amount of time as I was now 19 seconds behind 13th, knowing I had pace I got right back into rhythm becoming the fastest driver on the track and came all the way back to a fourth place finish only half a tenth off of three consecutive podiums. Words can't express the joy this weekend has brought me! This weekend was the first race I have had in a Spec Miata. Friday started off with getting used to the car and focusing on driving. Saturday was the first race day and we ended qualifying fourth in our class (SMT). That was a huge confidence boost, as I knew that I wasn't terribly far off pace of the others. After a hard fought race I came home with a fifth place finish, while fighting for third, however I just didn't play the draft game right. Sunday was only a 30 minute race, however today I had way more confidence in not only my driving abilities, but also my racing ability! We had a strong start after starting fourth in class, but twenty-sixth overall. I had amazing pace all throughout the race thanks to @treyin17 and was continuing to move through the field and in the end, I played the draft game right and came home second in class and tenth overall! This weekend was such an amazing experience and to top it, I got a podium in my first ever race weekend! Wow what a phenomenal weekend here at @newcastlemotorsportspark grabbing the championship in ka, also to top that off I believe we got third in the x30 championship! However our on track results this weekend were not the greatest. Saturday’s with gathered a second place finish in ka and fifth in x30. Sunday was not the same as ka we won on track but after it was all settled we were twenty-fourth, x30 it just wasn’t are day and we just didn’t have the pace sadly. So close but yet so far from grabbing a couple of wins here @roadamerica for @unitedstatesprokarting as the first day in Ka people were worried about p2 and let the leader get away still managed a second place finish grabbing some good points. X30 I quickly climbed the order in the first half however my driving cost us in the second half after cooking the tires moving up the field. Sunday was looking good in Ka starting p1 for the final but the same thing occurred and the leader was gone by the time I could reach the front of the mayhem and we couldn’t catch the leader. Sunday was much better in X30 going into Sunday I was driving better and kart felt amazing, same thing at the start we quickly climbed the order but I managed my tires throughout giving us amazing pace the whole way through to finish sixth!
