This past weekend I had the opportunity to drive a Spec Miata for the the very first time. It was a great success learning not only how the car handles but how to drive a stick! Pace wasn’t terrible but the main thing was the car came home in one solid piece without a scratch. Couldn’t thank my grandparents enough for giving me this opportunity along with my dad. Not only were they there @tylergonzalez57 helped me so much on track with lead follow and off the track meeting new people in the paddock as well as his dad Alberto for the help of understanding the car world. Wow words can’t explain how great our opening week with @rpm_karting went! We came home with a double win in ka winning Sunday by over 9 seconds. As well as doing good in ka we gathered two p5’s being are most consistent x30 weekend I’ve had!! Lady luck just didn’t shine in North Carolina this weekend! Still managed to grab a win in Ka but got a flat on Sunday. X30 was a constant struggle for me getting a 28th and a dnf having 2 flats throughout the weekend. Had a blast at @wka_karting this week grabbing my first national senior win on Thursday and getting second on Wendsday in Ka. For Briggs we didn’t have great luck on the first day getting in a wreck on the closing laps however Thursday we came home with a third. The opening rounds of @unitedstatesprokarting at @orlandokartcenter wasn’t the best but definitely not the worst. Saturday in Ka we got pushed way back but fought my way back up to third, X30 I struggled quite a bit but still got a twelfth out of what I could do. Sunday was definitely the worse of the 2 days in ka we were run over leading coming to the white flag, I brought it home in as many pieces as I could in sixth. I continued the struggle in X30 and just tried to hold on ending seventeenth. Wasn’t a bad weekend down in Saint Petersburg for @rokcupusa round 2 out of 3 coming home with another clean sweep in vlr winning everything from qualy to the final. However, Gp I struggle a bit with driving but by the end we had fairly good pace ending with a seventh. Good way to finish out the @rokcupusa Florida Winter Tour championship in the home town @orlandokartcenter coming home with a hard fought victory in vlr as I was battling multiple drivers that were teammates, however not only did I win the race but I also won the championship ending it with 2 poles 8 heat race wins 2 pre finals wins and on top of it all 3 finals. Gp was the best it’s been all year after leading an early part then got shuffled back a couple spots and got caught up in another persons wreck, was just in the wrong place and the wrong time but to my surprise I still wound up third in the championship staying decently consistent throughout all three rounds. Second day in @nolamotorsports was another 50/50 day but we got the win in ka after not completing a lap in qualy putting us 26th for the pre-final, luckily I got all the way to third putting me in the game for the final. X30 was going okay after starting the final 12th the motor stuck with 3 laps to go at the end of the back straight! Not the best but not the worst weekend here @amrmotorplex for @superkartsusa winter series. On day 1 in x30 we had to come from 39th after a chain popping in the pre final thankfully we had great pace and I carved my way through the pack all the way to fifth by the end. In ka after some ruff driving my bumper came off ending with us getting a penalty putting us to the rear. Day 2 we had a dnf in x30 after having a incident in lap one putting me to the back then got caught up in some wrecking further back in the opening laps. Ka was a different story as I got to an early second and then me and the leader held the same gap the entirety of the race.
